A- Vocabulary and structure

Choose the correct answer:



1-Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic ( calendar –costume-lantern).

2-( Is –Are – Was ) Nadeen and Lara going to work on the computer?

3-What did you (use to –used – used to) do in the Feast?

4-What (does –do –did ) Laraa read every day?

“Once an old man and a young man were walking through

the forest.They saw a lion in front of them .The young man

ran to a tree and climbed it quickly.His frind ran to climb

the tree too but he was very old and he fell back to the

ground.The young man didn’t help him



The old man remembered that lions do not eat dead

bodies.So, he lay on the ground and didn’t move.The lion

came to him and smelt.Few minutes later ,it went away and

didn’t bite him.The old man stood up and the young man

came down from the tree.Did n’t it say anything to you?

asked the young man.”Yes” it told me to look for a better

friend.



Answer the following question:

1-Why did the old man lie on the ground?
